I still can’t get my head around this😢.. Vicki was my lecturer for 3 years! I started Elmwood back when I was 15 after I left school, Vicki had a heart of gold and a laugh that was sooo infectious, she always believed in me even when I didn’t. I remember when I fell pregnant with Kayla and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to continue with my course, she said to me “Alison I know when you put your mind to something you will finish it, I know you can do this” her words stuck with me and she always supported me. Vicki felt like more than a lecturer and always went the extra mile for me, when I was heavily pregnant she booked me in to get a foot massage and pedicure in the beauty department at college because she knew I was uncomfortable.. When I gave birth to Kayla I went to visit with her and Vicki wouldn’t let her go, she wanted to keep her🙈. After I graduated college Vicki approached me and asked if I would be interested in a part time job helping in the kitchens, I accepted.. I worked there for over a year and a half, in that time I became pregnant with my second child and even bought a flat, I remember sharing these moments with her and she was always so happy and excited for me, again when I gave birth to Charlotte we visited Vicki at college and she just adored her, after I stopped working there I made sure to visit for a meal at Christmas time every year or so and she always made a fuss over us. You will be so badly missed Vicki ❤️
